Terra Nova Testing Information

Next week (April 16-20), CCS will be administering the Terra Nova test to all of our students.  This is a very important time for us to evaluate the progress of our students.  Listed below are some reminders for the week:

  • It is very important that your children are present every day.  There will be no makeup testing, so if they are absent, they will NOT receive a complete set of scores.

  • Please make sure that your children arrive promptly at 8:00 each morning.  If children are tardy, and testing has already begun in their classroom, they will have to sit in the hallway until the class finishes the section in progress.

  • There will be no homework, classroom tests, or quizzes during the week of testing.

  • Please make sure that your student/students get a good night’s sleep each evening and eat a healthy breakfast before coming to school each day.

  • If your students do not already have a library book at school, please make sure that they bring a book with them each day to read when they have finished each section of the testing.

  • Pencils will be provided for the students to use during the testing.

Thank you so much for your help and cooperation.  We want to do all that we can to make sure that our students have every opportunity to do their very best next week.

SPRING MUSICAL:

Our 2012 Spring Musical and dinner is tomorrow, March 10, at 6:00 P.M. Your student will need to arrive at 5:30. Students may wear pre-approved fairytale costumes (nothing scary and no superheroes), or jeans, khakis, and a collared shirt. NO SHORTS.

This year’s dinner will be catered by Savannah’s Riverfront Café, and will include your choice of Mexican casserole, sliced roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, sweet corn, rolls, pecan cobbler, tea, and water. Raffle baskets will be on display in the foyer and tickets will be sold until the end of dinner. All basket winners will be chosen at the end of the evening.

So, sell those tickets, invite your friends and family, and come expecting a fun, exciting evening with the CCS family!
